Senior Software Engineer

CyberForce Global is partnering with one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity startup to hire a Senior Software Engineer for their networking team. They are building their foundational US engineering team in Boca Raton, FL, and this hire will help shape it from day one.

The role

You will build the networking core of an enterprise security product: the components that intercept, inspect, route and secure traffic. This is hands-on networking development, not network administration or general backend work.

What you will do

• Design, build and modify networking functionality at the protocol level

• Work on traffic handling such as proxying, tunnelling, TLS and packet processing

• Debug and optimise performance across the network stack

• Work closely with R&D and help build the US team's engineering culture

What we are looking for

• Deep networking development experience: you understand protocol internals (TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP and others) and have built, implemented or modified networking functionality yourself, this role goes beyond using networking libraries or APIs

• Strong software engineering fundamentals in a systems language such as Go, C, C++ or Rust

• Hands-on experience with any of: proxies, VPNs and tunnelling, SASE/ZTNA, firewalls, packet inspection, kernel networking, eBPF or DPDK

• Comfortable owning big-scope problems independently
