Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a qualified RRD Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Operational Planning and Strategic Artificial Intelligence Applications Support Manager to support the U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC), Futures and Concepts Center (FCC), Maneuver Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate (MCDID) with capabilities development support services. MCDID performs key roles in the Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process with a focus on maneuver force transformation. MCDID leads the assessment of maneuver capabilities to identify gaps and develop integrated Doctrine, Organization, Training, materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) requirements to resolve or mitigate those gaps. They support the JCIDS Capability Based Assessment (CBA) by providing the identification of needs, combining joint concepts with analysis, and are responsible for the management of operational architectures. It leads the determination of maneuver force requirements, recommending priorities, documenting changes, and providing supporting analysis. These requirements result from JCIDS, Urgent Needs Statements, Operational Needs Statements, operational lessons learned, and senior leadership decisions to bring future capabilities into the force. They participate in Integrated Capability Development Teams (ICDT) to develop the necessary products associated with the JCIDS analysis and documentation requirements.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the performing operational analysis for approximately 25 (emerging, current, and enduring) ground, Counter Unmanned (Aerial and Ground) Systems. Including, but not limited to CRS-I, CRS-M, CRS-H, SMET, DUST, Legged and Consumable Ground Robotic capabilities. These projects can include, but are not limited to, Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Operational Planning and Strategic Artificial Intelligence Applications Support.
- Working knowledge of ACM O&O and product CONOPS.
- Conduct capability development to find solutions to complex operational problems, identify new technical tools and capabilities to advance military operations.
- Assist the Director in the development of the Robotic and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Execution Plan.
- Serves as a permanent member of the internal IPT and Joint Integrated Capability Development Team (ICDT) to Develop and maintain the mid- and long-term RAS capabilities.
- Work with Army Capability Managers (ACM) to identify capability gaps and assign robotic technologies to those gaps as needed.
- Experimentation and Demonstrations: Work closely with the Maneuver Battle Lab, and various Combat Capabilities Development Command Centers (DEVCOM).
- Coordinate and track the integration of robotic products and applique into the various testing programs to include, but not limited to Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiment (AEWE), Joint Warfighter Assessment (JWA), The Army Analysis Center (AAC), and Army Testing Command (ATEC).
- Provide S&T Program Support.
- Work with AFC, FCC, MCDID CDD and the DEVCOM to identify, evaluate and validate S&T robotic programs.
- Provide JCIDS research and writing support for new start and Army directed products and initiatives. Current programs are defined as projects with approved JCIDs capability documents that are generally between Milestone A and post Milestone C. New start and directed initiatives are defined as projects without approved JCIDS requirements, generally pre–Milestone A or being procured utilizing rapid acquisition techniques. These may include but are not limited to Annexes to the current Programs of Record for existing and emerging capabilities.
