This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Machine Learning Scientist in United States.

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to develop and deploy advanced ML and AI solutions at scale. In this role, you will work with vast, complex datasets to build, fine-tune, and optimize machine learning models, including large language models, for high-impact applications. You will collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and subject matter experts to design datasets, train models, and integrate AI into real-world products. The position combines research, experimentation, and applied engineering, offering the chance to influence AI systems that reach millions globally. This is an opportunity to shape model architectures, improve production pipelines, and ensure the responsible, efficient use of AI technology in a remote-first, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities:

·         Design, train, and maintain machine learning and deep learning models for text, vision, speech, and multimodal applications.

·         Curate, generate, and annotate datasets with subject matter experts to ensure high-quality, responsible data practices.

·         Implement, fine-tune, and optimize large language models (LLMs), including third-party and locally hosted models.

·         Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to integrate ML solutions into production systems.

·         Conduct research to explore novel architectures, evaluate performance, and iterate on model improvements.

·         Write clean, efficient, modular code with automated tests and maintain documentation for models and pipelines.

·         Communicate model behavior, limitations, and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.



Requirements

·         Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, or a related field.

·         8+ years of experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Unix-based systems.

·         Proven experience building and deploying ML/DL models for text, and optionally vision or speech modalities.

·         Deep understanding of machine learning and deep learning theory, model evaluation, and experiment tracking.

·         Hands-on experience with frameworks and tools such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, Jupyter, Hugging Face, AWS SageMaker, or Weights & Biases.

·         Familiarity with LLMs, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and orchestration.

·         Strong communication and collaboration skills, fluent in English.

·         Preferred: experience with production-scale deployment, Docker, AWS Lambda/EC2/Batch, and simple front-end demos (React, Flask, JavaScript).
