Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain, configure, and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, SAN).
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including firmware updates, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Maintaining current knowledge, understanding of security, and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team (currently not available).
- Global Protect, Wireshark and ESXi.
- Protocols – DNS.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- Will be part of the new store installation rotation and will need to travel to help with new store setup and go live.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent working experience required.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience maintaining enterprise networks and communications as a previous network engineer - required.
- Experience with firewalls (Dell Sonic wall, Palo Alto), layer two switching (Cisco), fiber switching and WIFI.
- Familiarity with protocols such as NAT, VPN, IPSEC, H232, 802.1Q, 802.1X.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
- Working with Arctic Wolf, Cortex XDR, 0365, Proofpoint, and other cybersecurity related software is preferred.
