As a Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll operate at the intersection of backend engineering and applied ML, working across diverse product areas such as fraud detection, recommendation systems, performance prediction, and ranking. You will:
- Research, train, and productionize ML models for engagement prediction, search, scoring, and fraud detection.
- Build backend infrastructure and APIs to serve models at scale.
- Run experiments, analyze results, and iterate quickly to improve model and product performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and operations teams to translate business needs into model-driven solutions.
- Contribute as a generalist engineer — backend developer, applied ML practitioner, and product problem solver.
- Strong backend engineering skills (Python/Django or similar).
- Solid foundation in statistics and applied machine learning.
- Experience shipping products or production ML systems.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership.
- Experience with LLMs and their application in production.
- Background in search/recommendation systems, ranking (LTR), or classification models.
- Familiarity with experimentation frameworks, fraud detection, or evaluation systems.
- Prior experience at top-tier tech, finance, or high-growth startups (1–3 YOE).
- Evidence of side projects or open source contributions.
- Salary: $130,000-$300,000 (commensurate with experience)
